This Jumper Connector is intended to connect an adapter cable for a serial breakout box so that the adapter cable can stay on the vehicle and the vehicle still works while the Breakout box is disconnected from the vehicle.
The vehicle can therefore be moved with connected adapter cable, but without the Breakout Box connected. If an adapter cable is difficult to connect to the ECU, it is nice that it can stay without a breakout box.
For adapter cable starting with part number PRT-ADC1 -..... you need 1 Jumper Connector.
